Dr. Hennessy began her medical career with a governmental scholarship for academic excellence from her homeland of Russia. With this award, Dr. Hennessy earned her Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from Eastern State Medical University in Khabarovsk, Russia. At this same university, Dr. Hennessy later completed an otorhinolaryngology residency and ultimately became an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology.
Due to the vicissitudes of life, Dr. Hennessy moved to America, more specifically, Central Ohio. A few years later, Dr. Hennessy moved to Pennsylvania and completed an Anatomic Pathology Residency program and a Dermatopathology Fellowship at Penn State University. Dr. Hennessy placed second in the Resident Competition Duel at the 44th Meeting of the American Society of Dermatopathology and then won the Dr. Donald West King Fellowship at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.
Despite practicing in Pennsylvania for the past 8 years, Dr. Hennessy longed to return to her other home, Central Ohio. She was thrilled to join Northeast Dermatology’s recently opened Central Ohio Pathology Services. A respected and accomplished physician, Dr. Hennessy is a board certified Dermatopathologist and Anatomic Pathologist that has been published in several research and diagnostic journals and other scholarly literature.
In her spare time, Dr. Hennessy enjoys creating acrylic and oil paintings while lovingly restoring her vintage home.
