The Titan procedure is an innovative non-surgical, non-invasive treatment which utilizes infrared light energy to stimulate new collagen production deep beneath the skin. The heat is delivered to the dermis, or deeper level of the skin, causing collagen contraction and production resulting in a tighter appearance of the skin’s surface. Many areas of the body where the skin has a tendency to become lax can be treated. The jawline, facial skin, the neck, abdomen and upper arm are areas that have responded well to the titan procedure. Patients of any skin type can be treated. Most patients require 3 to 4 treatments spaced approximately 4 weeks apart. During the procedure, patients will feel a brief cooling-heating-cooling sensation as each 7 second pulse is delivered. A soothing cool gel is applied to the treatment area to protect the epidermis or upper layer of the skin, allowing the heat energy to be driven deep to the collagen containing layer beneath the surface. Most patients will notice mild redness and swelling which typically dissipates over a few hours. Results are gradual over a three to six month period as new collagen is produced and the skin subsequently tightens. Titan procedure is a well established treatment to improve laxity of the skin with little to no downtime and
